My Story
I began my career in bookkeeping at a local CPA firm in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, where I quickly learned the fundamentals of accounting and developed a strong attention to detail.
In 2014, I took the next step in my journey by joining the City of Fort Walton Beach as a Financial Analyst, gaining valuable experience in government finance and budgeting.
After my time with the City, I transitioned into public accounting as an auditor with Carr, Riggs & Ingram, where I earned both my Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Community Association Manager (CAM) licenses in 2017.
Over the next six years in public accounting, I refined my expertise in auditing, financial reporting, and client advisory services. This experience led me to an exciting opportunity as the Chief Financial Officer for Okaloosa County Water & Sewer, where I oversaw financial operations and strategic planning for the organization. The role allowed me to combine my technical accounting knowledge with leadership and long-term financial strategy.
In 2023, I took a leap of faith and launched my own firm, driven by a passion for helping businesses succeed. Today, I provide consulting and monthly accounting services to a variety of clients, while also serving as the contracted Finance Director for the City of Fort Walton Beach. My journey has come full circle, allowing me to use my experience to support the same community where my career first began.
